What to bring
Photo identification
Driver's licence, passport, or government-issued ID helps verify your identity at check-in.
Medicare card
Required for Medicare billing, rebates, and referrals. Bring concession cards (Aged Pension, DVA, Health Care Card) if applicable.
Current medications list
A list of any regular medications, including dosage and frequency. Bring the physical packaging or a pharmacy printout if available.
Previous medical records
Any relevant letters, test results, imaging reports, or referrals from previous health providers — particularly if you have an ongoing condition.
Fees for new patients
Coorparoo Clinic operates on a mixed-billing model. Pensioners and DVA card holders are bulk billed. Concession discounts apply for other card holders. Private fees apply to all other patients. No bulk billing is available on Saturday mornings.

New patient FAQ
Do I need to bring my Medicare card?
Yes, please bring your Medicare card and any relevant concession cards (Aged Pension, DVA, Health Care Card) to your first appointment. This allows us to process your billing correctly.
Do I need to fill in paperwork before my first appointment?
You can complete a New Patient Registration Form before your visit to save time at reception. A link to the form is available on this page. You may also fill it in on arrival.
Can I choose my own doctor?
Yes, you can request to see any of our available GPs. We encourage continuity of care — booking with the same doctor for follow-up appointments supports better long-term health management.
How long will my first appointment take?
First appointments are typically booked as a standard or long consultation to allow time for your medical history and any immediate concerns. Please advise reception if you have multiple issues to discuss so we can book adequate time.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a photo ID, your Medicare card, any concession cards, a list of current medications, and any recent test results, referral letters, or previous medical records that may be relevant.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, Coorparoo Clinic is welcoming new patients. You can book online via HotDoc or call us on (07) 3397 4151.
Can children be seen as new patients?
Yes, we see patients of all ages including children and infants. Some of our GPs have a special interest in paediatric health.
What if I need a referral to a specialist?
Your GP can provide referrals to specialists where clinically appropriate. Please mention any specialist needs when you book so your GP has time to prepare.
