Conformance status

This website, coorparooclinic.com.au, targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. We conduct ongoing testing to maintain this standard, including automated accessibility scanning with axe-core, manual keyboard navigation testing, and manual screen-reader testing.

Where we identify failures against WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria, we treat them as high-priority defects and work to resolve them promptly.

Technical approach

Our website is built with semantic HTML and ships no client-side JavaScript framework. Key accessibility measures include:

• A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page
• Logical heading hierarchy (one H1 per page, no skipped levels)
• All interactive elements reachable and operable via keyboard
• Visible focus indicators (2 px teal outline with offset) on every interactive element
• Colour contrast ratios meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components
• All images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images use alt=""
• Form fields have visible labels and inline error messages announced via aria-live
• Touch targets of at least 44×44 px on mobile
• Animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query
• Page language declared as lang="en-AU"
• Landmark regions (header, main, nav, footer) are named and correctly structured

Supported assistive technologies

We test this website with the following assistive technology combinations:

• VoiceOver (macOS and iOS) with Safari
• NVDA (Windows) with Firefox
• Keyboard-only navigation (no pointing device) on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari

The website is expected to work with other screen readers and assistive technologies that support modern HTML. If you experience difficulties with a particular tool, please let us know.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following limitations on this website. These are caused by third-party components outside our direct control:

• HotDoc online booking widget — the booking widget on our Book Online page is provided by HotDoc and is embedded as a third-party iframe. We cannot fully control its accessibility. If you experience difficulty booking online, please call us on (07) 3397 4151 and our team will assist you.
• Google Maps embed — the map on our Contact page is embedded from Google Maps as a third-party iframe. Keyboard navigation and screen-reader support within the map itself is controlled by Google. The surrounding page content (address, hours, phone number) is fully accessible without the map.

Physical accessibility

Our practice at 332 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo is physically accessible. Accessible via ramp, stairs and lift. Disabled parking is available underneath the building.

If you require a specific accommodation for your visit — such as an interpreter, additional appointment time, or assistance with paperwork — please let us know when booking and we will work to support your visit.
